How to migrate/transfer LINE messenger chat history from old iPhone to new iPhone

It seems that there are many ways to achieve this. In my case I choosed to do a backup in iCloud and just restore it on the new phone and it works perfectly for me.

But to make this work you have make sure that your Line app is linked correctly the your iCloud account. 

1. In the LINE app of your old phone tap "Home" and then the top right gear icon for "Settings". Then go to "Account"->"Apple" und tap the "Link" button. 
2. After that you have to backup the chat history from the old iPhone to the iCloud. You can do this in the same Settings menu as before. This time go to "Chats"->"Chat history Backup"->"Back Up now"
3. Now just log in into the LINE app on your new phone and go to the "Settings" menu and tap on “Restore chat history.”. Thats it!
   

How to migrate/transfer WeChat chat history from old iPhone to new iPhone

From time to time you got a new mobile phone and you want to migrate the chat history from the old to the new phone. In this case I use the build in function "Migrate Chat to Another Device" in WeChat to achieve this. 

1. First of all you have to make sure that the old phone and the new phone are in the same local wlan.
2. Log in to your WeChat on your old phone and tap Me -> Settings -> General -> Backup & Migrate Chats -> Migrate Chats to Another Device -> Migrate Entire Chat History
3. WeChat on the old device should show the following now:
   
   
   4. Then leave the old phone untouched and log in to your WeChat on your new phone, tap Discover -> Scan to scan the qrcode from the old phone. It takes some minutes to load the chat history via local wlan from the old phone to the new phone. Thats it. 😀
